City of Aurora Human Relations Commission
The Commission can investigate claims of discrimination, mediate conflict, and act when our human relations ordinance is violated. The Commission also works to educate people about their rights under the ordinance and to help promote harmonious relations within our community.
The City of Aurora’s Human Relations Ordinance prohibits discrimination based on: Race, Nationality, Color, Ancestry; Religion, or Creed; National Origin or Ancestry; Gender, Age, Marital Status, Sexual Orientation; Physical or Mental Disability; and Military Status.
If you believe you are the victim of discrimination in Employment, Housing, Education, Public Services and Facilities, Public Accommodations, Financial Institutions, Insurance Companies, or Labor Organizations, you may file a complaint with the Commission.
