About Wesley
Upon completing his Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy at Northern Illinois University, Wesley
Quinn established his niche in the legal field through his work as a paralegal with a criminal
defense law firm in Saint Charles.
After focusing his innate talents for critical reasoning, effective communication and problem-
solving towards serving at-risk populations, he discovered his passion for advocacy as a
Residential Case Manager in Safe Passage’s emergency shelter, providing crisis intervention and
case management services to adult and youth survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual
assault.
Wes currently serves his DeKalb County community as a Family Support Specialist with Family
Service Agency’s Community Action Program, where he provides empathetic case management
services to low-income individuals and families, assisting his clients with reaching their goals
and achieving self-sustainability. He considers his direct-service experience as “field work”
while he prepares himself for law school and a career of advocacy and policymaking. His “boots-
on-the-ground” approach to community issues provides him with a raw, first-hand perspective
into the lives of those most vulnerable.
Wes joined NAMI-KDK’s board in 2025 and brings life-long lived experience navigating his
own mental health journey. It is his firm belief that everyone should have a mental healthcare
provider, just as everyone should have a primary care provider.
