Education

NAMI-KDK (Kane-South, DeKalb, and Kendall Counties) provides free educational programs designed to support individuals and families affected by mental health conditions. Our free educational courses and presentations foster understanding, reduce stigma, and empower communities with tools for recovery and resilience.

Peer to Peer

Do you live with symptoms or a diagnosis of a mental health condition? Do you want to understand more about mental illnesses so you could better cope while on your recovery journey? If so, the NAMI Peer-to-Peer class is for you.

Taught by trained leaders with lived experience, this program includes activities, discussions, and informative videos.

NAMI Provider

The NAMI Provider Education Program is a training that helps professionals, emergency responders, and other service providers better understand the lived experience of individuals and families affected by mental illness.

"During a time when I felt hopeless, alone and lost I was told to try NAMI support groups. I didn't know anyone in my family or friends that had a mental health condition that I could talk to. NAMI Connections Support Groups opened up a whole new world of hope, understanding and empathy."
